Storage of Personal Belongings

Storage of personal items is available in the following locations:

Desks: There are a limited number of desks, which are designated for use by SNF lab members. These are located in the bullpen area just outside the lab entrance. The Labservices Administrator allocates desk space. Priority is given to students and researchers who have traveled to work at SNF and industrial lab members whose companies participate in the SNF Affiliates Program. Any space that is unoccupied for extended periods of time may be reclaimed and reallocated, at the discretion of the Lab services Administrator. No hazardous chemicals or materials may be stored in this area.

Lockers: Lockers are located in the hallway outside the lab entrance. These are also allocated by the Labservices Administrator and are for use only by SNF lab members. Priority in allocation is the same as for desk space. No hazardous chemicals or materials may be stored in this area.

General Storage Outside the Lab: Ample storage for personal belongings is available in CIS 151, which is located conveniently just outside the lab. Lab members may store wafers, labware, notebooks, and other lab-related items (other than chemicals or other hazardous materials) in storage boxes on the shelves provided. For more information on use of this storage area, click <here>.

Storage in the Lab: Assigned bins are available in the lab for storage of personal items. Individuals are generally assigned a single bin. In addition, groups of two or more lab members may request additional group storage for shared items. Bins belonging to lab members not showing lab activity over some period of time may be reclaimed and reallocated. We, at SNF, would like to remind labmembers that cleanroom space is extremely valuable, and encourage you to limit storage in the lab to items you need to use regularly (ample storage is available outside the lab, nearby). To request a storage bin inside the lab, contact the Labservices Administrator. For information and guidelines on use of personal storage bins in the lab, click <here>. For a map of bin locations in the lab, click <here>. If you would like to change the size or location of your personal bin, please check with our Lab Services Administrator who coordinates bin assignments.

Bunny suits: For frequent users of the lab, personal bunny suits can be stored, hung in the gowning room in alphabetical order, by Coral login. For occasional users of the lab, visitor suits are available as well. For details about storage and use of bunny suits in the lab, please refer to the "Gowning Room Procedures" or click <here>.
